The quality of life fundamentally depends on cultivating a healthy body. What can we change in our lives to prevent a number of serious diseases? How important is nutrition and why should physical activity be among our priorities? These are just some of the questions that nutrition and physiotherapy specialists will answer in a new online event organized by the independent telemedicine platform Digital Clinics: the #digitalwellbeing webinar “How to have a balanced life”.
On Thursday, April 14, at 2:00 PM, we invite you to the event that will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of Digital Clinics and our partner, C?rture?ti.
The specialists invited to the webinar are Dr. Daniela Onu, a specialist in diabetes and nutrition, and physiotherapist Daniela Ciurea, specialized in Balneo-Physiokinetotherapy and Recovery. More details are available here: Digital Clinics Webinar
“We eat a lot, but we do not choose quality, healthy products. In recent years, we have noticed an alarming increase in the number of overweight and obese children and adolescents. As a preventive measure, I believe that each of us should see a nutritionist on a regular basis from a certain age onwards. For example, from age 35 onwards, I recommend a set of relevant analyses”, explains Dr. Daniela Onu, who provides online consultations on the Digital Clinics platform.
Invited as a speaker at the webinar “How to live a balanced life”, physiotherapist Daniela Ciurea, one of the specialists of the Digital Clinics telemedicine platform, states: “Physiotherapy included in the lifestyle will improve the condition of the entire body by acting on systems that are slowed down: the muscular, articular, circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory systems. My goal is not to keep people tied to a medical system or physiotherapy classes, but to teach them how to take care of themselves in specific situations and in everyday activities”.
Nutrition and physical activity are among the main elements that contribute to a healthy life. Unfortunately, many Romanians neglect them. Statistics show that, in Romania, life expectancy is 5.9 years lower than in the rest of Europe. Eating habits and the lack of exercise are the main “enemies”.
According to the national report on the health status of the population in 2019, only 18.4% of Romanians consume vegetables daily, and 63% of the population never does physical exercise or sports.
-work productivity and general health suffer greatly due to poor quality of nutrition, lack of exercise and sleep disorders?
-a study conducted in the United States revealed that 75% of the expenses that companies make for employee health insurance are related to chronic diseases caused by nutrition?
Through online events #digitalwellbeing, Digital Clinics aims to draw the attention of the general public to diseases that can be prevented, but also kept under control if detected in time. The first webinar, organized in December 2021, had as its theme Burnout, the occupational disease of the century.
